Tensile testing machine
The servo-hydraulic universal testing machine in our laboratory; scroll to follow the test step by step.
Specimen gripped
The round specimen is clamped by wedge grips in the upper and middle crossheads; the gauge length is marked.
Elastic range and yield
Load increases; the specimen first stretches elastically, then elongates permanently after yielding.
Necking
After the maximum force (Rm) is reached, the cross-section narrows at a single zone.
Fracture
The specimen breaks in the necked zone; tensile strength and elongation after fracture are reported.
It is the test applied to reveal the mechanical properties of metallic materials and welded joints under a static load.
Yield strength (ReH)
Maximum load (Fmax)
Tensile strength (Rm)
Percent elongation
Mechanical properties are determined in the form. In our laboratory, Universal Pull-Press device is used for the mentioned test.
